Barnsley march on

First liverpool now Chelsea, the Barnsley 'dream' continues. Really can't say this was a classic match but Barnsley deservedly won the right to reach the semi-finals. The last 15 minutes resembled 'The Alamo' in the Barnsley penalty area and they withstood it well.
The last time Barnsley reached the F.A.Cup Semis was in 1912 and went on to win their only Big Trophy.
Now that Barnsley and Portsmouth are in the Semis the 'Icing on the cake' would surely be if Cardiff and Bristol Rovers go through Tongue

this match must be giving avram grant and his wards nightmares. sometimes destiny can play cruel tricks on a team and this seemed to be one of those days. i never expected such a bizarre result but that's what the fa cup is all about. no big four this time around - thankfully?

I think we'll be in for a much more entertaining cup final this year now. Nothing against the bigger clubs, but I think we'll see more spirited football from the smaller clubs who only get chances like this once every 100 years Wink Indirectly, it also makes the Premiership a more focused race for Chelsea as that is now their only real hope of glory this season.

Yep It what the Cup needed ..two Teams that are nowhere near the top four in the Final.
Much more committment is being shown by the smaller clubs and this in turn maked for a better match.
