Beckham has been named in the provisional 30 man squad to face France in a friendly on 26 March. The squad includes Barry, Young, Bentley, Joe Cole, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, Beckham, Gerrard, Hargreaves, Downing and Jenas for midfield choices. I know I'll be surprised if Becks gets a chance to get his boots dirty.

Apparently by all accounts he has declared himself 'Fit' and ready to go, have to wait and see what Cappello whittles the squad down to

i think he will get a start if only to complete his hundred caps for england. other than that i don't see him making too much of an impact for england.

Beckham is in the squad? what's he promoting now then?? perhaps he's opening a coffee house in Paris or something.

Or maybe they just want an excuse to get Posh's knockers on the front page again

Poor 'Becks' is very disappointed that he has not been made Captain although, according to Cappello if 'Becks' lives long enough he will be made Captain, one day
