Can Keegan keep Newcastle in the Premiership?

On recent form, it looks like Newcastle might be scrapping to stay out of the relegation battles at the end of the season. How do you rate their chances of staying in the Premiership?

RE: Can Keegan keep Newcastle in the Premiership?

Keegan says, quote: " Owen will keep us up".
Not sure about that, Owen is no longer the force he was.
With just 8 more games to go Newcastle have 3 fixtures where they should get something from, Fulham,Reading and Sunderland all at Home.
Saying that however, in his last 9 games in charge Keegan has only manged to get 3 Points if, he carries on like that then relegation looms.

owen can do it once in every few games, but who is going to bail them out the remaining times. not guys like smith and wonder what's with martins. the whole team needs to be on top otherwise they won't be around in the premiership next season.

Good win for Keegan's side today and if they keep this up they will avoid the drop.

Keegan's first Win against a very unorganised and out-of-form Fulham should be enough to keep Newcastle up in the Premiership. At the same time that defeat could be the 'nail in the coffin' for Fulham.

yes, a hard earned win that is good news for both kevin keegan and for the supporters and it could not have come at a better time. i guess the law of averages was in their favor though whether this is a one-off or a sign for better things to come is something which we will have to wait and see. like man city who started with a blaze and faded just as badly, newcastle fans should keep their expectations in check

Can Newcastle keep Keegan in the premiership more like! Will he crack like he did in the run in with United for the title? Will he be sacked?? That club deserves to go down in my opinion, they had a very decent manager in the shape of Sam Allardyce and given time Big Sam would have done with them what he did with Bolton. They were way too hasty in getting rid of him and went with a crowd favorite appointment in Keegan to save face but that decision might well not save the club.

looks like the next couple of matches will provide an indication as to the chances of both newcastle staying in the premiership as well as keegan's future. personally i like keegan at newcastle and hope he can lift them still further from the drop zone

I think they will do enough to stay out of the bottom 3 now that they experienced their first Win against Fulham Big Grin
