Fergie got the formula wrong against Liverpool

Fergie has a great team to choose from with Berba now in the side, but the formula and positioning players is another thing. I think he was wrong to try and "fit in" all three strikers in Berba, Rooney and Tevez. The fact is (as with all teams) that someone must be left out. Rooney looked lost out on the right and Anderson looked less than comfortable playing from the left.

Most "world class players" are acknowledged as being so because of their outstanding contribution in their chosen position, yet so many managers insist on playing them out of that very position. Fergie paid 30 million for Rooneys ability up front and yet how many times have we seen him anywhere but? Chesea paid top money for Essien and how many times did we see him in defence? Madness!! Fergie has got to let Rooney play his natural position to get the best of the player and the best of the team.

He had Berba dropping off and Tevez as the man up top at times which for me is better the other way around. I believe he will pick a front two once Ronaldo returns and hopefully he will not try to play all three front men together at once again.

it will be interesting to see who gets dropped when ronaldo gets back.. do you think tevez/berba and rooney will be rotated quite heavily?
