If Liverpool were to sell him tomorrow, what price tag would be put on Fernando Torres? I heard a pair of Liverpool fans talking last night and they came up with 70 million which I thought was way over the top. I'd probably put a 30 million tag on him at most, perhaps a little higher.

No more than 30 million. Transfer prices are getting a bit silly, but even on the silly scale I would not rate Torres at 50 million.

I rate him at about what they paid for him which is in the 25 mill range.

It's nice to think the best striker in the world plays in the Premier League, but sadly I think this is not the case. Torres may feature in the top 5 strikers in the world particularly if the poll is answered by English fans. Worldwide, you might find a different response - Lionel Messi seems to be top choice by fans and FIFA

Come on, you are not serious. Messi is more of a striker than Lampard! Lampard is an attacking midfielder, Messi is an out-and-out front man.
