Idea for a game
Here's an idea for a bit of fun inspired by the Euro qualifier predictions thread. How about having a weekly Premiership predictions thread and awarding points for correct predictions?

RE: Idea for a game
Yes, I think this would be a good idea. Perhaps we can keep a league table and offer a prize at the end of the season. I was thinking to include all Premiership games and FA cup games and award points on the accuracy of the prediction. So for any given game you can choose away win, home win, draw and if you predict correct you get 1 point. Alternatively, you can make a prediction on the actual result of the game (3-0, 1-2 etc.) and if correct you get 3 points. How does that sound?
Maybe begin with the Boxing Day fixtures? Read forum announcements here | Football Blog |

RE: Idea for a game
That sounds good. Would it be all FA games or only those involving Premiership teams? Also, any thoughts on the prize?

RE: Idea for a game
I thought all FA games, but I can see that it might disadvantage those entering the game after the first applicable round. As for a prize, I thought about $100 cash. Any other ideas?

RE: Idea for a game
I'll knock up a quick outline of the game and rules in another thread and open it up for discussion, and then perhaps we can get it started with the Boxing Day games.
