Keegan starts plugging holes

He's standing like the little kid in the Dutch folk tale with his finger in the dyke, but I suppose has to start somewhere. Keegan just confirmed signing Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta on a free transfer unntil the end of the season in the hope of plugging up the defensive line. Baptism of fire for him at the weekend as the Toon face Liverpool Big Grin

RE: Keegan starts plugging holes

Something needs to be done otherwise Keegan could be 'flirting' with a relegation battle. So far he has managed to obtain 2points from a possible 18points since he became Manager, conceeding 14 goals and scoring only 3.
Can not see them getting anything against Liverpool especially, with Torres on a 'purple patch'.

RE: Keegan starts plugging holes

looking over one's shoulder is never a good thing and it certainly won't help newcastle's cause. i think keegan needs to inject confidence before he gets new players in. you could improve what you have rather than plug holes.
