Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool all overcame weak opposition with pretty weak performances themselves, and all with reasonably strong teams on the pitch. Only Arsenal who went 2-0 down very early on showed any real guile, to not only come back, but win out in the end.

I think United's is a good result though given the nature of the hostility of the Turkish crowd, and how sometimes teams buckle under the intimidation of being in the Istanbul pressurecooker. Liverpool and Chelsea however do not deserve the same praise, with home advantage they both should have trashed their respective opponants. Arsenal deserve a lot of credit and proved that (when they are not diving about the place) they will be a formidible team in this seasons Champions league.
