New number 7 will have big boots to fill
With Ronaldo on his way to Real Madrid, the now vacant number 7 shirt will need to be filled by some very talanted boots indeed. Ronaldo inherited the shirt from one Mr Beckham who took over from the one and only Eric Cantona, who himself took over from Red devil Legend Bryan Robson. I will go out on a limb here and suggest that he might just hand the coveted number 7 to Adem Ljajić (aka Little Kaka) Real Madrid and United competed for this young Serbian's signature before United won the deal, which also brought fellow Serbian Tosic to Old Trafford. Ferguson gave Ronaldo the number 7 when he was virtually an unknown coming from Sporting lisbon and look how that turned out. Ljajić is also around the same age as Ronaldo was when he was given the honour. A scout from Sky Sports recently assesed Ljajić, and the report was a glowing one, offering marks of 9/10 on nearly all his attributes, he also went on to say that he had unlimited potential, sounds like a Ronaldo clone to me! Fergie could well splash the cash on Benzema and save the coffers by using the potential of Ljajić as the next number 7 at United.
