No team outside the big 4 of Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal will have the resources to win the English Premiership in the next 10 years.

With the financial situation as it is, money for the game might not be as free flowing as in more recent years past. So it will be harder for smaller clubs to buy in to the big time.

The league is a marathon not a sprint. It requires a lot of depth of talent and experience in the squad. Smaller clubs do not have this, although smaller clubs will continue to turn over the big 4 in cup competitions as this can be done over 90 minutes.
