Arsenal scrape a late equaliser to stay top

They scored twice but could only manage questionable draw against Villa, as Man U closed the gap with a solid 0-3 performance away to Fulham. Chelsea hammered the Hammers at Upton and are must also be overjoyed with Arsenal's slip as they draw nearer with a game in hand.

RE: Arsenal scrape a late equaliser to stay top

I hope that some who post on this site are watching!!!!! There have been many comments of how United were the inconsistent one's in the league, well what say you now? Arsenal can cry injuries all they like but Fabregas was not injured today just poor. Senderos is not Premiership quality and Wenger needs off load him asap. Credit to Martin O Neil and Villa though, they did not deserve to only take a point though and once again Arsenal show the chinks in the armour.

Arsenal were completely out of sorts against an average Villa side and only a very late goal deep into injury time gave them the 1 point that ensured they are still top of the Premiership.

Meanwhile Man Utd cruised to a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage as they piled more misery on a hapless fulham, with Owen Hargreaves scoring his 1st goal for the Club. United have now won 6 of their last 8 League outings.

On an afternoon when Avram Grant needed a big performance from his side, Chelsea delivered just that as West Ham were ruthlessly picked apart to the tune of 4-0 at Upton Park.
The game being marred only by a 'handbags' situation in which Frank Lampard was sent off.

Matt Derbyshire's last minute goal earned Blackburn a fortunate 1-0 win over Newcastle to pile the misery on Kevin Keegan.
Under Keegan the 'Magpies' have only obtained 2 points from their 6 league games played, which leaves them nervously looking over their shoulders.

i think a bit differently and though no doubt arsenal were miserable for ninety-three minutes, when it mattered the most they came up with a vital point that sees them stay a point clear. no doubt man utd are firing on all cylinders and they have relatively easy matches upcoming. but, i still think they can have an off day and lose rather than salvage a vital point. still, the race is becoming more and more exciting.

Both Arsenal and Man Utd have to travel to Stamford Bridge in the near future, the outcome of those matches will be very interesting Tongue

yes, i fear for the gunners but at the same time they are also the last team to have beaten chelsea at home. in fact, last season they almost won but for an excellent essien goal few minutes from time. utd definitely are strong finishers and the games against chelsea and arsenal at old trafford will settle things
