Barcelona must have felt like the crew of a NASA exploration mission tonight, with so much space to work in and not a person in sight to stop them from doing so. Unchallenged, under no pressure and with no real threat in sight, they passed the ball as though it were a Charity match or Pre season friendly. United looked disinterested and unable to offer a reply to going one down. They have come from behind a million times before, and yet tonight they looked a second rate team, with no visible ability to come back at Barcelona. Although Barcelona were good I would personally say it was less Barcelona winning the Champions League Final and more a case of United losing it.

Agreed, Mathiese. It looked very promising for Utd at the outset but they were jilted by the first goal against the run of play. Barca seized the opportunity to apply pressure after this and never looked back. A Utd goal before half time would have set it ablaze. In the end a poor final for the objective spectator, but all credit to Barca.

NO, they met arguably the best team in the world, and possibly the best team ever to come out of spain and were for 80mins totally out-played
we all know UTD are class act, but it seemed to me that only Ronaldo wanted to work, the rest were all looking to him to win it for them, as soon as the 1st went in it was only going to end up a barca win
