Leeds in League one

Hard to believe that Leeds United will be playing the third tier of English football next season.

A really sad demise for the team.

They are also struggling to pay the teams wages, it is shocking when you look at the squad Leeds have these days!

The likes of Shaun Derry being their top players! TerribleSad

How come they have gone down a tier? Have I missed something?

I agree. Indicative how the tide turns in top flight footy even more so now that the commercial interest in the Premiership has increased so much in recent years. It seems such a short time ago that Leeds were genuine Premiership contenders...

RE: Leeds in League one

It serves them right. In fact it could have been a lot worse for them, had Ken Bates not bailed them out with more dodgy dealings. A lot of lower league clubs fans hate Leeds as do many Premiership club fans. As a Grimsby Town fan and having seen Boston United relegated from League Two and go into the Conference but because they had a dodgy Chairman (like Leeds) they were relegated to the Conference North, one below the Conference. That was really unfiar on their club as they had genuine fans, no idiots running onto the pitch to try and save their club. So Leeds have been unlucky not to be relegated to League Two. As it is the FA bottled it and saved their 'Big Club' from any more humiliation!!!

They should be able to bounce back. At first they were looking good. Now they are looking poor.
