Not a Liverpool fan but I reckon for the good of England getting Barry would be the best option, then we'dhave Barry and Gerrard, best centre midfield pairing for England playing together week in, week out!

Guess that depends on Villa playing Barry in their Uefa Cup game on Thursday, If they do that would mean Barry would be ineligible to play for another club in Europe until the last 32 stage. Besides he's a bit pricey. Liv have alot of talent in the MF, I like Benayoun, Alonso, Levia, Pennant, Mascherano. They are all just there to backup Gerrard anyway lol

It appears that Silva is staying at Valencia according to reports, which means the door is open for Barry.

Benitez is playing a great game IMO. He offered £18m, until Martin O'Neill said that Barry can go, then he dropped the offer. O'Neill is stuck with a player that doesn't want to stay, and he can't get what he want for him. Do you think O'Neill will accept a lower offer?
