Player Of The Year

The nominations have been revealed for this season's PFA Players' Player of the Year award with six star names vying for the top prize.

Last year's winner Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the nominees along with Arsenal duo Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor. The trio are also in the running for the Young Player of the Year prize.

The three are joined by Liverpool pair Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, the Spaniard making the list in his first Premier League season. Torres is also in the mix for the Young Player of the Year award.

The nominations for the main prize are completed by Portsmouth goalkeeper David James who has enjoyed a fine season during Pompey's run to the FA Cup final.

I can see them giving it to torres, although i think ronaldo deserves it again

RE: Player Of The Year

Yea, Ronaldo has to be favourite, consistent goalscoring and key performances in most of United's big wins this season. No Chelsea players in it? And it seems to be confined to the players that sell the shirts - where are the defenders, and the grafters who put in steady performances week in week out but never make the headlines?

RE: Player Of The Year

no doubt it is a one horse race this year, cristiano ronaldo should walk off without any competition as he was unstoppable throughout the season.

RE: Player Of The Year

It has to be Ronaldo. Torres has had a great season to adapt to premiership football the way he did and to score over 20 goals in one season!! any other year and he would no doubt be player f the year, but of course not this year!! Ronaldo has more goals thn any striker in the premiership!! and all from the right or left wing!! he has been the most consistent player all season and at the end of he day he deseves player of the year for the second season running
