Posting Guidelines - Please read before posting

Please take a moment to review our posting guidelines.

Here are a few basic guidelines to consider before posting on this forum. Generally, we are flexible and easy going, but please try to respect the following:

1. When quoting from an external source, please credit the source whenever possible. There is not need to make a live link to the source, but do credit them.

2. Also, please do not, I repeat DO NOT, cut and paste large chunks from other sites. There are several reasons why you do not want to do this. First, for copyright reasons; usually you should not be copying other site content without express written permission to do so. Second, you will get this site penalised in the search engines for issuing duplicate content.

If you run across a newsworthy story that you think others may enjoy and respond to, then please summarise in your own words what you consider to be the main points and then when necessary quote the source for further reading.

3. Please do not link to other forums. This will not be tolerated.

4. Excessive external linking will not be tolerated. We are not here as a vehicle for you to advertise your start up football site. Mods reserve the right to remove links from any post (including sig links) if they feel the linking is not in the interest of discussion at this forum. The more you participate and post on this forum, the more likely your linking will be trusted and tolerated. Sorry, but that is just the way things have evolved with link spamming and forums.

5. We realise football can awaken deep passions and strong convictions on the part of those discussing it and also acknowledge that people often respond in their own unique way to debate and have their own unique ways of getting their points across. For the most part, we will not censure or censor what is posted in the flow of debate. However, we will not tolerate strong personal attacks, unduly offensive matter involving, but not limited to, racism and hatred, and other forms of prejudice. Bottom line: please try to remain civil.

6. If you are here simply to plant links to your site then please do not bother. They will be deleted and your account will be terminated.

(These guidelines may change from time to time, so please check back occasionally.
