Spurs Gets Serious About Silverware
It's taken a long time coming, but last night Spurs put in a memorable performance to annihilate the Gunners 5-1 and could easily have added a couple more against a dazed Arsenal XI. Despite a poor start and issues at WHL, it goes to show that when things go right and they can keep the rearguard tight, Spurs can cut it with the best teams in the Prem. A good omen for next season, perhaps...

RE: Spurs Gets Serious About Silverware
Yeah, sad news for me as I expected Arsenal to win the match. Looks like it a revenge for them after losing to Arsenal also at this stage of the competition last season.

RE: Spurs Gets Serious About Silverware
Anyone who saw the 1st Leg at the Emirates last week should not have been surprised at the outcome of this match, the writing was already on the wall.
A rout and an outplayed Arsenal was unexpected though. With players arguing amongst themselves namely,Gallas,Adebayor and Bendtner showed Arsenal in complete disarray.
The 2nd goal, an own goal by Bendtner had almost Dixon like qualities.
On the night i'm afraid that Wenger's 'nuggets' were shown to be just mere pebbles, washed up and stranded on the shore.

Well, if that's the way how the played, it could spell disaster on their upcoming EPL matches. Consistency is very important and sadly enough Arsenal is not showing any of the qualities at the moment. In fact, latest news reported that the FA is going to take action on those two (Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner) involved in the fracas. Now teamwork is another problem as well

RE: Spurs Gets Serious About Silverware
The Football Association are to look at footage of the clash between Arsenal players during the Carling Cup defeat at Spurs.
The move comes after referee Howard Webb confirmed he had not seen the entire incident in which Emmanuel Adebayor appeared to butt teammate Nicklas Bendtner.
During the closing stages, with the tie already lost, Bendtner - who had earlier scored an own goal - became involved in an altercation with Adebayor, and appeared to complain of being head butted by the Togo international.
Arsenal captain William Gallas stepped in to try to calm matters, before being confronted by the angry young Danish striker. Eventually, referee Webb had to intervene to restore order.

RE: Spurs Gets Serious About Silverware
unfortunately the team disintegrates too easily when losing as witnessed in the carling cup final last year. it is one side of the gunners that needs to be rectified, which takes a lot away from an otherwise great team. even nuggets have to be put through the grind and can break once in a while. utd lost to a saudi arabian team as well. good for spurs though, and they have grabbed their chance well. good luck to them
