looking at the premiership games, it is very discomforting to notice that players never take the ref's decision in good spirit even when the foul is so blatant that there is no sense in arguing with the decision. it is a real low point in otherwise exciting encounters?

i think its just playing to the crowd, and that they obviously can get pretty worked up in an important game, besides we have to face it, your average david beckam isnt very bright...

There is a lot at stake in the modern game and it often boils over. Respect for officials has diminshed in direct proportion to the rise in player wages which is very sad since they are being paid as sportsmen, unsporting sportsman at that.

very true because if you watch some of the games from about ten years back, there was more gentlemanly behavior on the pitch and also off the pitch, i wonder why money makes players so arrogant when in fact it should teach them to be more responsible people and role models for youngsters.

Too many players with Bigger egos than their Salary !!
