Will Ronaldo stay at United?

There have been rumours recently that several European clubs are interested in the United striker. Apparently, Real Madrid have been lining up a package worth about £9 million per year to lure him out to Spain :O Also, Ronaldo has yet to sign a United contract for next season. Will he stay or will he go?

RE: Will Ronaldo stay at United?

Yes I have heard the same rumblings, however how many times since joining United have we heard the same rumours linking Real with a big cash lure for Ronaldo? I admit that if it's genuine offer of a reported 10 Million Euro a season (making Ronaldo Europes highest paid footballer) it would certainly get his attention.
All that being said I believe that Silverware this season would keep Ronaldo at United, particularly the Champions league, were United to crash out and end up with nothing then who knows?

i think that he will stay loyal to man utd as long as the silverware keeps rolling in because then there would be no sense in leaving. however, money is a bigger influence in a player's mind and if the price is arrived at i don't think that he will hang around counting his friends

RE: Will Ronaldo stay at United?

Ronaldo is almost certain to stay with Man Utd as long as he getting a decent 'percentage' Big Grin

RE: Will Ronaldo stay at United?

That's the point - Real Madrid are looking to double his 'percentage' Wink And as the richest club in Europe they can afford it.

RE: Will Ronaldo stay at United?

i think if man utd win silverware, percentages will take a back seat and it will ensure that ronaldo stays at old trafford. money will only play a part when things are not hunkydorey

In a sane and rational world, i'm sure this would be the case. However, where agents and other assorted leeches offer "sound advice" then I think that if the money is right then the advice he'll receive is to follow the money...

RE: Will Ronaldo stay at United?

unfortunately true, though more so in the case of clubs such as chelsea and man utd, and less so for arsenal and liverpool. is there anything to read into these different approaches? gunners seem to grow with the club while utd and chelsea are growing on the back of their star players
